Weekly Watering Advice

No watering is recommended for the week of: 
Monday (08/14) - Sunday (08/20). 

We received over two inches of rain last week, and more is in the forecast. Please keep sprinkler systems turned OFF.

Over-seeding and watering cool season grasses (such as rye) are prohibited as defined by Frisco's Water Management Plan.

Subscribe to receive weekly watering recommendations based on data from Frisco's weather station. 

DST Watering Restrictions are in effect:
No watering between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Current Watering Schedule

  • We recommend keeping sprinkler systems turned off until data from Frisco's weather station indicates watering is needed.
  • Watering is permitted once per week on your regular residential trash/recycling day. 
  • No outdoor watering from 10 am - 6 pm during Daylight Saving Time (DST).
  • Water using a hand-held hose, soaker hose, or high efficiency method of watering such as drip irrigation or bubbler system up to two hours daily.

HOA Spotlight: Richwoods
In an effort to help conserve water for the future, the community of Richwoods has a plan to become the model in Frisco for water efficient HOA landscape design. 

Richwoods is planning on converting their irrigation system to drip lines (where appropriate) and separating out zones. In addition, Richwoods is working closely with Texas A&M AgriLife Water University to help educate their residents on what it means to be WaterWise in North Texas.

Smoke Testing

Smoke testing is currently underway in the City of Frisco.  Smoke testing is part of a 10-year study to locate possible leaks, breaks, and defects in the sewer system.

Frisco Police and Fire departments are aware of the areas and the daily schedule for the smoke testing activities. Testing will occur between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
